Customer Privacy

We are committed to protecting the privacy of its customers. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998). We collect information about you to process your order and to provide you with the best possible service. We only send promotional email or mail to you with your prior consent and do not pass any of your information to third parties without first gaining your explicit consent.

 

Details we require

We need to collect the following information from you in order to process your order and notify you of the status of your order.

  • Credit or Debit card details

Payment details – We use Stripe – Credit Card (Stripe) Payment to process our credit/debit card payments securely online, as a company we hold no records of your payment details. We will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent, however additional information you may provide us with may be used to personalize your visits to our web site. You can check the information that we hold about you by logging into our web site and using the contact us form on our “Contact Us” page, or emailing info@promaxservices.ca If you find any inaccuracies we will delete or correct it promptly.

 

Security of personal information

When you enter credit card information on our website we use secure servers to ensure that all details are encrypted at your browser before they are sent to us. We don’t store credit card details in our secure database. The servers are physically secured in a dedicated data center for a transaction with Strip and help to protect your information. We may use technology to track the patterns of behavior of visitors to our site. This can include using a “cookie” which would be stored on your browser. You can usually modify your browser to prevent this from happening. The information collected in this way can be used to identify you unless you modify your browser settings. Data Protection

The Data Protection Act 1998 requires us to be open about our holding and use of personal data. It also entitles individuals to find out from us what personal data is held about them on a computer, to have that information corrected or erased if it is inaccurate, and to claim compensation if they can prove they have suffered damage from inaccuracy or breach of security. Light and parts are committed to upholding the eight Data Protection Principles of good information handling practice.

We will not sell or use any of your information for anything other than billing/shipping purposes.

We don’t share your personal information with any service, verify and validate information is done with Stripe. Examples of service providers include credit card issuers and delivery services. To reduce the risk of fraud or misuse of personal information. We may also verify your personal information, including but not limited to your address and credit card information, with third party service providers.

We will use reasonable efforts to ensure that your personal information is used in a manner that is consistent with this Policy. If you do not wish us to provide your personal information to those service providers, we may be unable to process your transaction.

We may disclose your information as permitted or required by law:

To a government institution or other person or entity that has asserted its lawful authority to obtain the information. To comply with a subpoena or warrant or an order made by a court, person or entity with jurisdiction to compel the production of information. To comply with court rules regarding the production of records and information.

 

How We Protect Your Information

The security of your personal information is a high priority for us.

Although we cannot take responsibility for any theft, misuse, unauthorized disclosure, loss, alteration or destruction of data by a third party, we take reasonable precautions to prevent such unfortunate occurrences.

 

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY:

Under no circumstances including negligence, shall we, or its directors, officers, employees or agents, be liable to you for any incidental, indirect, special or consequential damages (including damages for loss of business profits, business interruption, loss of business information, and the like) arising out of the use, misuse or inability to use the product.
  2. Controlling law and severability. This license shall be governed by and construed under the laws of the province of British Columbia, Canada without reference to its conflict of law principles.
  3. Our limit in liability is in replacing defective products under, if any, limited warranty. We do not guarantee a shipping date(s) of our products and are not liable for any unforeseen shipping delays and order lead times.
